O-Sensei also persued religious and philosophical studies. In later years, he became deeply involved with the religous school of Shinto Omoto-Ryu, founded by Rev. Wanisaburo Deguchi.
O-Sensei marked 1925 as the end of his martial unsatisfactory search. He has taken aikido into another dimension, where he explores it with his disciple. In 1927 his dojo(practice hall) were moved to the metropolis of Tokyo. He taught until World War II emptied his dojo of its most promising pupils.

Even after Morehei's death, many disciple still carries on the essence of Aikido till this day.
"One night, as i was swinging my sword in my garden, I was suddenly confronted by an apparation armed with a sword. At first, i could do nothing against him, but gradually I began parrying his lighting fast attack. The apparation returned the following two evening and then vanished. Thereafter, whenever I held a sword, I lost all sense of sword, opponent, time, and space; i was breathing in the universe-no, the universe was contained within me. One swing of the sword gathers up all the mysteries of the cosmo"

"From ancient times, budo has never been considered a sport. If there are contests, we must be ready to kill. Those who seek competition are making a grave mistake. To smash, injure, or destroy is the worst sin a human being can commit. The old saying" The martial deities never kill" is true. Real budo is a Path of Peace"
